Student Profile

Camille and Yohan, two young apprentices in their first year of Brevet Professionnel (BP) bakery, have been working in this profession alongside their studies for five years in France. Familiar with the French method, their stay in Spain aims to introduce them to the know-how of a culture different from their own.

Destination

Heading to Barcelona to have this experience, upon the request of their school, Espamob has made every effort to find a bakery willing to host these students for a period of two weeks. Objectives? To adapt to a new work environment, communicate in Spanish, and learn.

Internship’s missions

• Bread dough making Kneading, shaping, and scoring
• Preparation of various doughs: challah brioche, focaccia, tradition…
• Use of bakery tools and machines: oven, dough mixer…
• Monitoring and preparation of recipes

Internship Results

This foreign internship allowed Camille and Yohan to completely immerse themselves in the Spanish and Catalan country and culture. They learned new techniques, discovered a lifestyle they greatly appreciated, to the point of considering staying there. For these two apprentices, it was an exceptional experience, both personally and professionally enriching, which they will not soon forget.
