Tasks performed and skills acquired

Throughout the internship, students were assigned to either the hotel business or sales sectors. Those placed in hotels primarily handled responsibilities such as check-in and check-out procedures, communication with customers, and providing them with essential information about the hotel. Meanwhile, students in sales engaged in tasks like managing customer orders and offering product advice. The performance of these tasks not only facilitated the development of their knowledge and skills but also allowed them to thrive and flourish during their internship.

Tutor support

The students were indeed fortunate to benefit from attentive supervision provided by their tutors, and without exception, they expressed great satisfaction with this level of support. Recognizing the significance of having a mentor who not only listens to their concerns but is also ready to offer guidance and support throughout the internship, these young individuals were able to derive immense satisfaction. Such mentorship not only contributed to their overall contentment but also played a pivotal role in shaping a new and positive chapter in their professional development.

Cultural visits

Get ready for some excitement! Throughout their mobility experience, students had the opportunity to explore iconic places in Barcelona, including Tibidabo, Park Güell, Sagrada Familia, the Cathedral, Las Ramblas, Picasso Museum, Montjuic, and even the enchanting city of Montserrat. These captivating destinations created lasting memories for the students, making their experience truly unforgettable!

The language barrier

In terms of language acquisition, certain students were able to enhance their proficiency in Spanish or English through interactions with their tutor, colleagues, and others. They express high satisfaction with the progress they’ve achieved. Each student invested effort into effective communication, striving to ensure mutual understanding and contribute to the success of their internship.

Cultural differencies between Slovakia and Spain

The Slovakian students observed notable cultural distinctions in Spain. Specifically, many of them appreciated the heightened openness and friendliness of the people in Spain compared to their home country, considering it a significant positive aspect. Additionally, they observed that evening meals tended to be served at much later hours than what they were accustomed to at home.Principio del formulario

Collaboration with Espamob : a Successful Experience

What has been Espamob’s role in organizing this mobility ?

Since 2022, Espamob has been actively collaborating with the  Obchodná akadémia (Business academy) on various Erasmus+ mobility projects. This year, the Slovak school has once again placed its trust in us to plan its trip to Barcelona. This strong partnership has allowed for a smooth and efficient organization. Under the attentive leadership of Laura, every aspect of the mobility was carefully coordinated. Alongside the Espamob team, she managed the placement of students in companies, arranged hostel accommodations, facilitated airport transfers, and coordinated on-site transportation. Our team also provided valuable support by assisting with the school’s Erasmus procedures.

What support was provided during the mobility ?

Espamob accompanied the group throughout the mobility journey. From the moment of landing at the airport, we extended a warm welcome to the Slovak participants to ensure a serene arrival for both students and accompanying staff. This welcoming atmosphere continued as students received guidance on their first day at their respective internship placements. Our commitment persisted throughout the mobility, characterized by seamless communication and constant responsiveness to any issues that arose. To conclude this period, the Espamob team revisited the companies on the last day of the internship, collaborating with teachers to conduct final evaluations and sharing feedback with both students and companies.
